We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Finance & Tax Coordinator (Senior Accountant equivalent) to join our growing team. This position is a fast-track to Manager for the right candidate who demonstrates leadership, client ownership, and initiative.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage full-cycle accounting functions for a portfolio of clients (A/R, A/P, GL, reconciliations, month-end close).

  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow).

  • Conduct financial analysis and provide insights that drive client decision-making and strategy.

  • Prepare and review individual and business tax returns (1040, 1120, 1120S, 1065).

  • Collaborate with clients to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for tax savings.

  • Assist with payroll processing and payroll tax filings.

  • Serve as primary client contact on assigned accounts, delivering proactive communication and excellent client service.

  • Support CFO-level projects: budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and KPI dashboards.

  • Contribute to process improvements, automation, and workflow documentation.

  • Mentor junior staff and support the review process to elevate work quality.

  • Stay up-to-date on accounting principles, tax laws, and industry regulations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA or EA preferred).

  • 5+ years of experience in accounting/tax (public accounting experience preferred).

  • Solid knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and tax compliance.

  • Proven tax preparation experience (1040, 1120, 1120S, 1065).

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks Online, and QuickBooks Desktop.

  • Familiarity with modern accounting tech stacks (QBO, Sage Intacct, Bill.com, Jirav, Keeper, Gusto, ADP, Paycom) a bonus.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication skills, able to simplify complex financial concepts for clients.

  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

  • Commitment to exceptional client service and long-term relationships.
